Cameron County Conservation District

The purpose of the Agriculture Conservation program in Cameron COunty is to assist farmers, livestock owners, and equine owners with Manure Management, Nutrient Management, and Ag Erosion and Sediment Control Plans. Whether you have a herd of cows, one horse, or a flock of backyard chickens, it is necessary to have a Manure Management Plan on site to properly handle animal wastes. The Cameron County Conservation District is available to assist with these plans and to help make sure we are properly managing our farms and livestock.​If you are looking to make improvements to your operation, the District can help with technical assistance and possible financial assistance options through grants, tax credits or cost share options from our many cooperating agencies.  Contact the district by calling or filling out the information below.
